Pitch Perfect 2025

I was fortunate enough to win the Pitch Perfect competition at Bloody Scotland 2025 with my pitch for Dark Waters:

A dark historical horror thriller in the vein of Sinners, Dark Waters combines the gothic unease of Don’t Look Now with the broken, haunted investigators of True Detective. At its heart, it is not just about a monster that may destroy a city, but the trauma that can destroy a man.

I am currently finishing Dark Waters, the novel that won me the 2025 Pitch Perfect competition at Bloody Scotland - a dark historical horror thriller set in 19th Century Venice - think Don't Look Now meets True Detective with a little dose of Lovecraft thrown in.
